Detention
Watch Network (DWN)
Co-founded
by the Florence Project, formed in 1997
in response to the rapid growth of the immigration detention
system in the
United
States, the
Detention Watch Network (DWN) is a network of individuals and
organizations working in support of, and in service to, immigrants
in detention and at risk of detention. Standing in solidarity with
immigrants, DWN members work to change the U.S. detention system
so that all who come to our shores receive fair and humane
treatment.
Network
members include organizations
providing legal, health, spiritual, peer support and other social
services to those in immigration detention and their families,
organizations and individuals advocating on behalf of those in
immigration detention, and individuals personally
affected by draconian detention policies.
